Piżama Press
Piżama Press is an independent press dedicated to showcasing and uplifting the voices of the strange, the uncanny, the absurd, and the surreal.
The weirder, the better.
Established in Chicago in 2025 by Benjamin Niespodziany [aka neonpajamas (Piżama is Polish for Pajamas)] and with plans to release 1-2 books a year, we now have three available titles in our slowly growing catalog.
NOTE: While we no longer handle physical sales on our site, you can click the books below for more information, and all copies can be ordered directly via Asterism Books. Thank you for helping this new indie press continue to find new readers!
The sixth poetry collection from Lesle Lewis. Arranged in 45 monostich pieces, all with single-word titles, this book showcases a poet who, after more than 20 years of releasing books into the world, is an artist continuing to master her craft.
A new two-in-one poetry collection from Romanian-Hungarian Réka Nyitrai. Surreal and imaginative, strange and captivating, the layout invites readers to finish one book, flip it upside down, and begin the other.
The digital “deluxe” debut poetry collection from Kiik Araki-Kawaguchi, featuring 20 poems and illustrations that do not appear in the physical version. Surreal, absurd, dreamspeak poems full of humor, autobiographical mistruths, pop culture references, and heartfelt abstractions. Complete with line art illustrations from Gautam Rangan.
