Smino's debut full-length
blkswn
hasn't left rotation
since being released
a few weeks back.
I haven't even written
about it because
I've been intimidated
by its enormity
and density.
I need 50 pages
and 400 more listens
to properly digest.
That being said,
while blkswn is still new,
there's no sitting still
for St. Louis Smino Grigio.
He's played numerous
new songs on his IG Live,
including something
for Monte Booker's upcoming project.
To top it off,
the first set of visuals
from blkswn
arrives in the form of "Anita".
Starring Smi and Jean Deaux
(who also directed it),
the brightly colored music video
is a love story set in the desert
between billiards and cacti,
flashlights and open roads.
Admire the pinks and reds
and yellows and greens.
Don't sleep.
