One of my personal

favorite finds

at this year's

Chicago Zine Fest

was Seed

by Andy Hood.

The cover grabbed

my attention

as I browsing

an endless array

of tables

full of art,

and he told me

it was his first

release in four years.

Consisting of four

short stories,

they are equal parts

poetic, heartbreaking,

depressing, and beautiful.

The minimalism

employed throughout

really adds

to the vibrant panels

that Hood creates

so well.
