I remember covering
Kent Loon
back on the
MishkaNYC Bloglin
a few years ago,
but I somehow
managed to sleep
on the 12 song album
Stay Low that Loon
released last November.
How fitting, though,
to listen to it now
when it's in the 90s
in Chicago and bass
thumping rap music
demands to be played.
With Chester Watson
on eight of the 12 songs,
this feels very much
like a collaborative project,
a group offering
with talented producers
like GRiMM Doza
and Nova coming and going.
Complete with a batch
of visuals, this is an album
that I might have missed
the first time around,
but it's sounding perfect
upon first listen
in the summer of 2018.
