A series

of four postcards

designed and illustrated

by Martyna Ratnikaite

from Siauliai, Lithuania.

The series

is called on/off

and is “loosely based

on Plato's Allegory

of the Cave

and a few long walks

around Vilnius old town

and Uzupis District."

Mixing photography

with illustrations,

the pieces remind me

of our interview

with Indonesian artist

Arlyosophy.

But while Arly

maintains positivity

with his work,

this new series

is a bit more surreal

and somber

in style,

full of originality

and individuality.

If you would like

to see more work

from Ratnikaite,

check out her most

recent design project:

cigarette packs.
